Students and staff of FUTMINNA will have to adjust their food plans this weekend, as the well-known off-campus food outlet Food Republic has officially announced a temporary closure.
According to the management, Food Republic will be closed from Saturday, June 7th to Sunday, June 8th, and will resume full operations on Monday, June 9th, 2025 to observe the Sallah celebration. This closure enables the restaurant’s staff to join their families and communities in honoring this significant cultural and religious occasion, reflecting values of unity and festivity. The management extends its gratitude to patrons for their understanding during this important period.
All operations, including dine-in, takeout and delivery services will be paused to allow the team to fully participate in the Sallah festivities. Food Republic will resume full operations on Monday, June 9, 2025, with regular hours and its full menu available to customers. The restaurant’s customer service team will contact patrons with reservations, pre-orders or events scheduled during the closure to arrange rescheduling or alternative solutions to ensure a seamless experience.
